Our Kitchen & Bathroom Remodeling Process


At My Express Kitchen & Bath, we believe a successful remodeling project begins with clear communication, thoughtful planning, and a process that keeps homeowners informed every step of the way. Our goal is to make your remodeling experience in Chillicothe, Circleville, and the surrounding areas as smooth and stress-free as possible.


Step 1: Free 60-Minute Consultation

We begin with a free 60-minute consultation where we meet with you in your home to discuss your ideas, needs, and goals for your kitchen or bath remodel. During this meeting, we review the space, talk through design possibilities, and gather the information needed to begin building your proposal.


Step 2: Detailed Proposal

After the consultation, we prepare a detailed remodeling proposal. Because we work with multiple manufacturers and suppliers, preparing an accurate estimate may take several days while we gather pricing for materials and products.

Your proposal will outline the scope of work, materials, and estimated costs for your project.


Step 3: Proposal Revisions

We include one revision at no cost to adjust the proposal based on your feedback.
If additional revisions are requested beyond the first revision, a $150 revision fee will apply. This fee will be credited toward your remodel if you move forward with the project.


Step 4: Agreement & Payment Schedule

Once you decide to move forward with My Express Kitchen & Bath, we will schedule a separate appointment to review and sign an Agreement and Payment Schedule. 

This document outlines:

  • The project scope, Payment terms, A clear progressive invoicing schedule
     

The payment structure typically includes:

• Initial Deposit: 50% of the project total or the cost of materials (whichever is greater) due at signing
• Project Start Payment: Due the day work begins (may vary depending on project size)
• Additional Draw Payments: Scheduled throughout the project as outlined in the agreement

Our goal is to ensure complete transparency with no surprises during your project.


Step 5: Material Selection

Once your project is scheduled, we begin the material selection process if materials are not being provided by the homeowner.

One of our team members will either:

  • Visit your home to review selections, or Meet you at one of our trusted manufacturer showrooms
     

We assist with selecting items such as:

  • Cabinets, Countertops, Tile, Flooring, Fixtures, Vanities & Shower systems
     

Materials will be ordered by our team once selections are finalized, based on availability and lead times.


Step 6: Scheduling Your Project

Because we believe every customer deserves our full attention, we provide a tentative project schedule rather than a fixed start date. Many remodeling projects evolve as homeowners add improvements along the way, which can affect timelines.

We do our best to keep you informed while you are on our schedule and will typically reach out the week before your project begins with updates and confirmation.


48-Hour Cancellation Period

After signing the Agreement and Payment Schedule, we provide a 48-hour cancellation period. If you decide within that timeframe that you no longer wish to move forward with the project, we will provide a full refund of your deposit.
